What follows ERB's official format

ISEE levels are by the grade the student is applying to enter. Primary (applying to grades 2–4) assesses reading and mathematics; Lower (applying to grades 5–6) assesses Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and Mathematics Achievement, plus an essay.

Totals: Primary 2 — 53 minutes plus writing time; Primary 3 — 54 minutes plus writing time; Primary 4 — 60 minutes plus writing time; Lower — 2 hours 20 minutes total.

In the real test the essay / writing sample is not scored by ERB; it is sent to the schools the family chooses.

What is original, not ERB

All diagnostic questions (178 in total), practice questions, reading passages, vocabulary cards, explanations, and the Primary 2 listening stories and recorded audio on this site are original practice material created for this site. They are not ERB questions, not released ERB material, and not the actual test. The skill lists (22 Primary skills, 39 Lower skills), the study plan, the study phases by time left, and the mastery bands are this site's teaching design, not a detailed syllabus published by ERB.

The diagnostic is a sample, not a full mock

Diagnostic timing is shortened, so a diagnostic result is a practice check-in, not a predicted official score.

Scores

This site reports mastery bands only (Needs Support / Growing / Strong). It does not report stanine, percentile, or scaled scores, because those require ERB norming and pilot data this site does not have.
